Amnesty International says Tel Aviv’s actions in Gaza are genocide and war crimes
Amnesty International has stated in a statement that the actions of the Zionist regime in Gaza constitute genocide and war crimes against Palestinians in Gaza.
According to a report by the English section of “webangah News Agency” citing mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, amnesty International declared that the severe and inhumane blockade of the Gaza Strip is further evidence of Israel’s intent to commit genocide in the region.
The legal institution, in its statement, called for an immediate end to the devastating blockade on Gaza and emphasized that Israel’s siege constitutes collective punishment and a war crime, based on using starvation of civilians as a weapon of war.
The statement noted that the Zionist regime has imposed extremely harsh living conditions on Palestinians in Gaza to physically destroy them, behavior indicative of genocide in Gaza.
In this regard, Muhammad Al-Mughir, Director of Medical Relief Services in Gaza, warned Al Jazeera about the unprecedented deterioration of humanitarian conditions in the region.
He stressed: “Gaza has never experienced such dangerous humanitarian conditions before. The international community and global institutions must act instantly to save this catastrophic health situation.”
According to him, Zionist occupying forces have targeted most medical infrastructure in Gaza, rendering it non-functional.
He added: “We are facing severe shortages—especially critical food supplies for children—and we are shocked by global silence toward these crimes.”
