Zelensky supports unconditional and complete ceasefire proposal from the US
Ukrainian President Says His Country Supports America’s Proposal for a Complete and Unconditional Ceasefire.
According to a report by the English section of “webangah News Agency“, citing Mehr News Agency, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, announced in a message on social media platform X that his country “supports America’s proposal for a complete and unconditional ceasefire—and now Russia must do the same.”
He wrote: “We have supported America’s proposal for a complete and unconditional ceasefire. Now Moscow must also take this step—stop the attacks and killings, and ultimately demonstrate its readiness to move toward peace.”
This message came after Tommy bruce, spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, stated that Washington no longer intends to mediate peace negotiations between Russia and ukraine.
Bruce said: “We are no longer mediators; we won’t travel to that corner of the world at any moment to manage meetings. Now, things must proceed between the two sides themselves.”
While emphasizing that America will still make every effort to achieve peace, he stressed that ending this conflict requires “tangible ideas” from both Russia and Ukraine.
