According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Ahd news outlet, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, emphasized in an interview with the inaugural issue of Lebanon’s Iqtidar magazine that Hezbollah remains a powerful and influential force within Lebanon at all levels. The party continues its activities in cooperation with the Amal Movement and other allies, and also their representatives, adhering to a national agenda aimed at preserving Lebanon’s sovereignty and independence.
During the interview, he highlighted collaboration with partners and allies among Lebanese factions, parties, and communities to drive economic recovery, rebuild destruction caused by Zionist regime attacks, restore depositors’ assets, combat corruption, and uphold the rule of law in the country.
Sheikh naim Qassem added: “We strive to confront challenges facing the resistance as a liberation project—rejecting all forms of occupation,refugee resettlement schemes (Tawteen),and normalization with the Zionist regime.our region is targeted by tyranny, American arrogance (Istikbar), and the Zionist regime.”
He specifically described normalization between the Zionist regime and arab governments as an attempt to erase the Palestinian cause.
When asked about Hezbollah’s assessments following recent war developments, he stressed that evaluating shortcomings is essential—a duty owed to martyrs (Shuhada), wounded fighters (Majruhin), prisoners (asra), resistance members (Muqawama elements), public opinion—to draw lessons for future strategies.
