US military movements in northern Syria
News Outlets Report Latest U.S. Military Movements in Syria
According to the English section of the webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, media reports indicate that a U.S.-coalition cargo plane, along with two military helicopters carrying war equipment, has landed at the Khirab al-Jir base in northern Al-Hasakah.
The report adds that 48 hours prior, the U.S.coalition had sent a military convoy toward its bases in Syria’s northern Al-Raqqa region. The convoy included 25 trucks loaded with advanced surveillance equipment, fuel tankers, and other military gear.
U.S.forces have also been active near Syria’s oil and gas fields, including Omar and Conoco. Some media sources claim American troops have evacuated six bases in northeastern Syria—including the Omar oil field base and Conoco gas field base in Deir ez-Zor—leaving only two operational bases in Al-Badia and Al-Hasakah province.
It is worth noting that since their illegal presence in Syria during Bashar al-Assad’s rule, U.S. forces have engaged in the theft of the country’s oil and gas resources.
