A U.S. Lawmaker Describes Recent Agreement Between Washington and Kyiv on Ukrainian Mines as American Occupation
according to a report by teh english section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Sputnik, marjorie Taylor Greene,a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, strongly criticized her country’s foreign policy during Donald Trump’s presidency.
Following the signing of an agreement granting the U.S.access to Ukraine’s vital and valuable mineral resources, she stated: “Haven’t we learned anything from attacking Iraq and killing Saddam under the pretext of weapons of mass destruction that never existed? Did all those oil resources in the Middle East (West Asia) make us wealthy? The answer is no. Today,we are drowning in $36 trillion of foreign debt.”
The lawmaker added: “Why aren’t we mining our own rare minerals instead of scavenging for them in Ukraine?”
It is worth noting that after two months of tensions, the U.S. and Ukraine finally reached an agreement last Thursday regarding Washington’s access to Ukraine’s critical mineral reserves.
Ukraine hopes this deal will ensure continued political and military support from the U.S. in its war against russia.
