Russia’s Permanent Representative to Vienna-Based International Organizations Backs Iranian FM’s Remarks on Tehran’s Right to Full Nuclear Fuel Cycle
According to the english section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s permanent representative to international organizations based in Vienna, Austria, referenced statements by abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, regarding Tehran’s right to a full nuclear fuel cycle and asserted that “Iran is absolutely right.”
Ulyanov reposted Araghchi’s message on social media platform X, endorsing his remarks: “I prefer not to delve into details at this sensitive stage of negotiations, but (Iran’s Foreign Minister) Araghchi is entirely correct.”
He emphasized: “Under the NPT (Non-Proliferation Treaty),member states not onyl bear certain obligations and essential requirements but also possess inherent rights that cannot be questioned.”

In his post, Araghchi stated: “I generally avoid arguing core negotiation points through media. What I will say is this—repeating falsehoods won’t alter basic facts. As an original signatory of the NPT, Iran has the right to a full nuclear fuel cycle.Moreover, several NPT members enrich uranium while unequivocally rejecting nuclear weapons. Beyond Iran, this group includes nations from Asia, Europe, and South America. Maximalist positions and incendiary rhetoric will only destroy chances for success. A credible and lasting agreement is achievable—it simply requires firm political will and a fair approach.”
