According to the English section of webangah‍ news Agency,​ citing Mehr⁢ News ⁤Agency and Al Jazeera, sources reported the resignation of Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, the prime ⁢minister⁣ of saudi Arabia-backed ⁤government in Yemen. ​

Bin ‌Mubarak announced he ​had​ submitted his resignation to the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)—the Riyadh-aligned governing body in Yemen.Earlier, a Yemeni source ⁤revealed that the PLC was poised to dismiss Bin Mubarak⁢ from his position as prime minister. Last Thursday,⁤ Bin mubarak traveled to‍ Saudi Arabia, where all major decisions regarding Aden’s government‍ are made. ​

The unnamed source told ⁤news ⁣outlet Arabi21: “The seven-member⁢ PLC,​ including⁣ its chairman ‍Rashad⁤ al-Alimi, unanimously agreed ‌to⁢ remove Bin Mubarak from office.” This decision ⁤followed escalating ‍tensions and disputes between Bin⁤ Mubarak and Al-Alimi.the source added that Bin Mubarak was summoned to Riyadh on Thursday evening after⁢ the ‌PLC finalized his dismissal agreement. ‍

Simultaneously⁣ occurring,Aden’s government ‍faces a deepening political crisis amid economic turmoil caused by the⁣ continuous devaluation of Yemen’s⁣ currency.⁢ Severe shortages in essential services—including⁤ electricity—have triggered public protests.

Previously, ministers ‍within this⁣ self-proclaimed government boycotted cabinet meetings. Reports suggest ⁤Finance Minister Salem bin Brik may replace Bin Mubarak​ as prime minister.
