Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia Warns of Potential Nuclear War Amid Islamabad-Delhi Tensions Following Pahalgam⁣ Tourist Attack

according to a report by the English section of ⁢ webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and India Today, Muhammad⁢ Khalid Jamali, Pakistan’s Ambassador ‍to Russia, stated that​ a nuclear war could erupt following the ⁣attack on‍ a group of tourists in⁣ Indian-controlled Kashmir.

Jamali warned that if India attacks Pakistan,Islamabad will respond with its full military might. He emphasized that Pakistan would not engage⁤ in ⁢a conventional arms race⁤ with India⁢ but would utilize all its capabilities—both conventional and ⁢nuclear.”The armed forces of Pakistan, backed by the people, will retaliate with full force,” he added.

The April 22 attack at the Pahalgam tourist resort in⁢ Indian-administered Kashmir killed 26‍ people, most of whom were tourists. India has blamed its neighboring country for the assault, but Islamabad denies ⁤any ​involvement. However, Pakistan‌ has proposed an ‍impartial inquiry supervised by a third party to examine the incident’s details.

Following the attack and escalating tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, their already strained relations have⁤ worsened further. Both sides have taken retaliatory measures, including canceling treaties, closing⁤ airspace,​ and conducting aerial and naval drills against each other.
