Atwan: Syria is Israel’s laboratory for conspiring to divide Arab countries
The editor-in-chief of Rai Al-Youm newspaper described syria as Tel Aviv’s laboratory for conspiring to fragment Arab countries and warned nations that merely issue statements condemning the aggressions of this regime.
According to a report by the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News agency, Abdul Bari Atwan, a prominent arab world analyst and editor-in-chief of the electronic newspaper Rai Al-Youm, warned about a major conspiracy orchestrated by the Zionist regime against Arab countries. In his latest article, he stated:
Following a new Israeli airstrike near the Syrian presidential palace on Friday—with shrapnel reaching the headquarters of Ahmed al-Shara (Abu Muhammad al-Julani), head of Syria’s new goverment—the occupying regime’s warplanes carried out 20 additional attacks on Saturday, targeting military sites in several areas, including Idlib (al-Julani’s former stronghold), Hama, and Latakia.
Atwan emphasized that these attacks carry a clear message to Syria’s new government under Abu Muhammad al-Julani, as explicitly stated in joint declarations by Benjamin netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, and yoav Gallant, its defense minister. The Zionist officials claimed support for Syria’s Druze community while vowing never to allow Syrian forces to deploy in southern Syria.
The Palestinian analyst noted that southern Syria is now fully occupied by Zionists, with nine military bases established ther. the occupiers justify their presence under pretexts like preventing antagonistic Syrian forces from entering Druze-populated regions, blocking arms shipments into Syria—and ensuring Damascus remains perpetually vulnerable to Israeli strikes whenever desired.
