UN Security Council meeting on tensions between Pakistan and India
TASS News Agency reported that, at Islamabad’s request, a UN Security Council meeting will be held regarding tensions between Pakistan and India.
According to TASS, informed diplomatic sources announced on Sunday that the UN Security Council will convene to discuss escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, following Islamabad’s request.
the sources stated that pakistan has called for the Security Council session, though the exact date remains undetermined.
The move comes after an April 22 attack in Pahalgam, a tourist area in Indian-administered Kashmir, which killed 26 people—most of them tourists. India has blamed its neighboring country for the incident, but Islamabad denies any involvement.
Though, Pakistan has proposed an impartial investigation supervised by a third party to examine the details of the attack.
