The Late Catholic Leader’s Personal Vehicle to Be Converted Into a Mobile Clinic for Gaza Children, Fulfilling His Final Wish.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency adn the New York Post, the final wish of Pope Francis, the late leader of the world’s Catholics, has been fulfilled as his personal vehicle is being transformed into a mobile medical clinic for children in Gaza.
The Catholic charity Caritas in Jerusalem, wich received this gift during Pope Francis’ 2014 visit to the occupied West Bank, stated that in his final months, he contacted them and requested that the vehicle be used to aid Gaza’s children.Peter Brunne, Secretary-General of the Swedish branch of Caritas, announced that the vehicle will arrive in Gaza in time to assist children who currently have no access to medical services and are suffering from injuries and malnutrition.
He stated: “This is a decisive and life-saving intervention at a time when the healthcare system in Gaza has nearly collapsed entirely. This is not just a vehicle—it is a message that the world has not forgotten the children of Gaza.”According to The New York times, the Vatican has confirmed the Pope’s will, and this vehicle—equipped with medical supplies and staffed by a doctor and several paramedics—will patrol throughout Gaza.
Pope Francis,who had been hospitalized since February 14 due to an infection in both lungs and had been admitted multiple times over the past two years,passed away on April 21,2025 (corresponding to Ordibehesht 1 in the Persian calendar—Easter Monday) at the age of 88.
