Trump once again threatened Greenland with a military attack

U.S. President Repeats Threat to Use Military Force to Occupy Greenland

According‌ to a report by the English section of “webangah⁤ News Agency” citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu, Donald Trump, the U.S.president, has onc again threatened Greenland with⁤ military force as part ‍of his expansionist agenda.

in‍ an⁢ interview with NBC, when‍ asked about resorting to military power, Trump stated: “I don’t‌ rule it out. I’m⁢ not ⁣saying I plan to do it, but I don’t rule anything out.”

Claiming that the ‌autonomous island of Greenland—located within Danish territory—holds critical ⁤importance for “international security,” he‌ added: “We desperately‍ need greenland. It has a very small population, and ⁢we will take care of them.”

As returning to the White House in‌ january this⁤ year, Trump has repeatedly ⁤expressed interest in acquiring Greenland ⁢despite widespread and persistent opposition from denmark.

Greenland has been part of ⁣the‍ Kingdom of Denmark ‍as the 18th century and has been self-governing since 1979.‍ Located ‍between the arctic and Atlantic Oceans, this island is rich in mineral resources and lies in a strategically vital region.

Both ‍Denmark⁣ and Greenland have rejected any proposals for sale. According ⁣to research conducted in⁤ January, 85% of the population opposes⁣ joining the ⁢United States.

In March, Jens ⁢Frederik⁣ Nielsen, Greenland’s elected prime ‌Minister, called on Europeans to ⁣stand by ⁢the ‌island and emphasized that Greenland is not ⁣for sale.
