Presidents of Turkey and the US Discuss Regional, Global Issues, and Bilateral Relations
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and anadolu agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with his American counterpart Donald Trump on Monday.
The Turkish Presidency stated that the two leaders discussed regional and global issues, and also bilateral relations. President Erdoğan also invited Trump to visit Ankara during their conversation.
A statement from the Turkish Presidency further noted that Erdoğan assured Trump of Ankara’s continued efforts to advance cooperation with Washington, especially in the defense industry sector. The invitation for Trump to visit turkey was reiterated.
Additionally, as reported by RIA Novosti, the Turkish Presidency confirmed that Erdoğan and Trump discussed the Ukraine conflict during their call. The Turkish president praised and supported Trump’s approach to ending hostilities in Ukraine.
