Kremlin Putin and Modi stressed resolute fight against terrorism
In a phone consultation between the presidents of Russia and India, the leaders of both countries emphasized the need for a decisive fight against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
According too a report by the English section of “Webangah News Agency” citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, announced today (Monday) that Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
A statement issued by the Kremlin spokesperson on this matter stated: “Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed condolences to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the killing of several Indian citizens in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The leaders of both countries stressed the necessity of resolutely combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.”
The Kremlin spokesperson further added: “Modi invited Putin to visit India, and Putin gratefully accepted this invitation.” Additionally, the Indian Prime Minister congratulated Putin and the Russian people on the 80th anniversary of their victory.
It is worth noting that on April 22nd, armed individuals opened fire on tourists in pahalgam, resulting in 26 fatalities.
