Trump’s Special Envoy for the Middle east Explains Potential cancellation of Fourth Round of Iran-US Talks
According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the Axios news outlet quoted Steve Witkoff, Trump’s special envoy for the Middle east and senior U.S. negotiator with Iran,as saying: If the fourth round of talks with Iran does not take place,it will be due to President Trump’s trip to the region.
The senior U.S. negotiator in talks with Iran added: Discussions with Iran have been positive, and we have made progress. I hope matters continue moving in the right direction.
He stated: President Trump prefers resolving Iran’s nuclear issue through diplomatic means, which is why the U.S. government is making every effort in negotiations with Iran.
witkoff also expressed hope that progress would be made toward an agreement on releasing israeli prisoners—both before and during Trump’s visit to the region.
The senior American negotiator further noted: I am in contact almost daily with Qatar,Egypt, and Israel, and I hope we can achieve progress on this matter.
He added: President Trump wants Israeli prisoners returned—Netanyahu shares this demand. We are working in coordination on this issue.
Concluding his remarks while supporting the Zionist regime, Witkoff said: Israel makes its decisions independently , and President Trump supports them.
Witkoff’s comments follow Trump’s announcement hours earlier—without providing exact details or timing—that he would visit Saudi Arabia,UAE,and Qatar next week during his Middle East trip.
