Moscow Mayor Reports Second Ukrainian Drone Attack on the City,Temporary Suspension of four Nearby Airports
according to the English section of “webangah News Agency” citing Mehr News Agency and The Guardian, Sergei sobyanin, the mayor of Moscow, stated that following Ukraine’s second drone attack on the city in two days, operations at four airports near Moscow were temporarily halted.
A statement from the Moscow municipal government noted that four major airports in the Russian capital were shut down for several hours.
Russia’s aviation authority (Rosaviatsia) also confirmed the attack via its Telegram channel.
Sobyanin reported that at least 19 Ukrainian drones were involved in the attack, all of which were shot down before reaching Moscow.
He added that debris from the downed drones fell onto major highways in Moscow, but no casualties or injuries have been reported so far.This attack followed a series of overnight Russian drone strikes on Ukraine. Oleh Kiper, governor of Ukraine’s Odesa region, said one person was killed in those attacks.
Separately, Alexander Kinkhestain, acting governor of Russia’s Kursk region, reported an attack on a power station in the city of Rylsk.
