Pakistan Russia can play constructive role in reducing tensions

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN stated that Russia could play a ​constructive role in reducing tensions between India and Pakistan if it is indeed willing and determined.

According to the English section of⁤ webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Mayadeen,Asim Iftikhar Ahmad,Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN,announced today that Russia⁣ could play⁤ a constructive role in easing tensions between india and Pakistan ⁣if it​ desires,given its good relations with both ​countries.In an interview with Sputnik, Iftikhar Ahmad stated ​that he ‍believes Russia is an influential⁢ country with notable leverage, ‍and if it ‌chooses to engage, it⁢ can foster goodwill‍ among all major nations.

He emphasized that Pakistan ⁤enjoys close ties​ with ​Russia in their alliance, noting that these relations ⁢have grown⁢ warmer in ‌recent years and are built on mutual trust.

Iftikhar Ahmad‌ called on major ‌governments to⁢ work toward resolving the Jammu and Kashmir conflict.

Guterres⁢ Urges Restraint

Yesterday evening, the Indian army reported conducting a ⁤military operation against Pakistani positions named “Sindoor”, in response ⁢to the Kashmir attack. ⁢

In ⁢response,⁣ Khwaja Muhammad ⁤Asif, Pakistan’s Defense Minister, claimed that his country’s forces shot down five Indian aircraft and captured several Indian soldiers.

The Pakistani⁤ Army Chief also stated that‍ 26 civilians were killed and ‍46 others injured due to Indian military strikes.

meanwhile,Reuters quoted an Indian official as saying that ⁢10 people were killed and 48 ‌injured following Pakistani shelling in Kashmir.
