Ansarallah Yemen: Ceasefire agreement with America does not include the Zionist regime
Reuters, citing a senior Ansar Allah movement official, reported that the ceasefire agreement with the U.S. did not involve any direct negotiations with Washington and that Oman was responsible for mediating the talks.
According to a report by the English section of Webangah News Agency,citing Mehr news Agency,after U.S. President Donald Trump announced late last night that American attacks on Yemen had ceased, Yemeni officials and the Ansar Allah movement emphasized their continued support for Gaza while clarifying that the ceasefire request came from the U.S., not Yemen.
Reuters quoted a senior Ansar Allah leader stating that the ceasefire agreement with Washington did not include any direct negotiations with American officials.The leader further stressed that the deal solely involved halting attacks on U.S. naval forces and contained no commitments or agreements regarding Israel.The Ansar Allah official confirmed that Oman mediated both the ceasefire and Yemen’s cessation of targeting American ships.
A U.S. Department of Defense spokesperson told CNN on Tuesday evening that its military had been ordered to halt operations against Yemen’s armed forces. CNN noted that Trump’s proclamation followed extensive diplomatic efforts in recent days between the U.S., Oman, and Yemeni representatives.
Sources informed CNN that Steve Witkoff, Trump’s special envoy to the region—who also participated in indirect talks between Tehran and Washington—had worked last week to broker a truce with Yemeni factions. These discussions were facilitated by Omani mediation, they added.
Mahdi al-Mashat, head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, stated his country had indirectly warned America that escalating tensions could impact Trump’s planned regional visit: “If criminal Trump wants to stop his aggression and make amends for past actions, it is indeed up to him.” He reaffirmed unwavering support for Gaza: “No aggression will deter us from our rightful decision to stand with our brothers in Palestine.”
