According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, Vikram Misri, india’s Foreign Minister, referenced the country’s recent operation against Pakistan—known as “Operation Sindoor”—stating that New Delhi has exercised its right to prevent further terrorist attacks originating from Islamabad.
Misri said: “Our intelligence data on terrorist groups based in pakistan indicated that more attacks against India were imminent. therefore, it became necessary to contain and neutralize them.”
He described India’s actions as measured and responsible, adding: “Early this morning, India exercised its right to respond and prevent any further cross-border attacks of this nature.”
according to Misri, the focus of India’s military in Operation Sindoor was “to destroy terrorist infrastructure and eliminate terrorists who might be deployed against India.”
As reported by India’s Defense Ministry, the country’s armed forces launched strikes against nine targets on Pakistani soil early Wednesday morning under Operation Sindoor. This operation was carried out in response to an April attack on a group of tourists in Indian-administered Kashmir, which killed 26 people—most of whom were tourists. Relations between these two nuclear-armed nations have deteriorated further following the “Pulwama attack.”
