Pakistan’s Defense Minister Claims U.S.Hinders Efforts to Reduce Tensions Between India and Pakistan
According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and Al-Mayadeen, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif stated that Indian drones caused no damage to Pakistani military positions.
In an interview with Reuters, he emphasized that the U.S. is obstructing efforts to de-escalate tensions between India and Pakistan. Asif further warned that Islamabad would target Indian military installations in retaliation for any attacks by New Delhi.The Pakistani defense minister also noted that several Gulf countries have attempted mediation between the two nations, but the U.S. has undermined these initiatives.Earlier today, India’s Defense Ministry announced it had struck and destroyed Lahore’s air defense systems in response to Pakistan’s overnight attack. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Information Minister claimed: “We killed 40–50 Indian soldiers along the border and destroyed their military installations.”
India confirmed its armed forces targeted radars and air defense systems in multiple locations across Pakistan, including Lahore, on Thursday.
