Russia and China Adopt Common Stance on Iran-U.S. Nuclear Talks in Joint Statement Following Presidents’ Meeting
According too the English section of the Webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin issued a joint statement after their meeting at the Kremlin Palace.
In the statement, both sides called for a role in ongoing negotiations to resolve Iran’s nuclear program, emphasizing that all parties’ legitimate concerns must be addressed in settling this issue.
The two countries jointly urged restraint against escalating tensions over Iran’s nuclear activities and warned against unjustified military measures.the statement noted that Russia and china aim to strengthen cooperation against the U.S.-led dual containment policy targeting them. It further stressed that neither country would tolerate foreign interference in their bilateral relations or internal affairs, vowing to defend their regional integrity and security.
Additionally, they condemned excessive unilateral tariffs as harmful to global trade, reaffirming their commitment to countering shared challenges and threats while maintaining strategic stability.
