Fierce Clashes Between Sudanese Army and Rapid Support Forces Continue as China Urges Citizens to Leave Sudan
According to the English section of “Webangah News Agency”, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Arabi, intense fighting persists between forces loyal to General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, commander of the Sudanese army, and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) led by General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti). Amid escalating security concerns, China has advised its nationals to evacuate Sudan as soon as possible.
Meanwhile,an Al Jazeera correspondent reported that Sudanese army air defenses have engaged drones over Port Sudan.In a separate development, drone strikes by the RSF triggered massive fires at fuel depots in kosti city, White Nile State. A military source confirmed that three drones targeted these facilities—critical fuel suppliers for the state—resulting in severe blazes. Civil defense teams are working to contain the flames.
The attacks extended to port Sudan’s Flamingo Naval base, which serves as the temporary government headquarters. Military sources stated this was the second strike on the base this week, following a similar attack on wednesday. The RSF carried out these assaults using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
