According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News agency and Al Jazeera, sources stated that the Indian government has ordered its port authorities to enhance security measures.
Indian media also reported an important meeting between the country’s Defense Minister and the Chief of Staff, along with commanders of the Indian Armed Forces.
Meanwhile, Pakistani television announced that its air defense systems had destroyed six new Indian drones.
Reuters, quoting an official in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, reported that five civilians were killed and 29 others injured in Indian shelling on border areas.
On another front, the Grand Imam of Al-azhar urged India and Pakistan to exercise wisdom and restraint, emphasizing that “the world cannot endure more wars.”
Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, declared: “I call upon neighboring countries India and Pakistan to prioritize dialog, demonstrate maximum restraint, cease provocations, and refrain from exploiting shared natural resources as tools to fuel conflict or nationalism.”
Al-Tayeb stressed: “We demand their swift return to negotiations—our world today cannot bear further wars or disputes.”
