Maariv: It is hard for Netanyahu to say no to Trump
Hebrew Newspaper Maariv, Citing Zionist Sources, Reports U.S.Has Sent Message to israeli Regime Preferring Gaza Ceasefire Over Large-Scale Military Offensive
According to a report by teh english section of “webangah News Agency” citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera,the Hebrew newspaper Maariv quoted Zionist sources stating that Tel Aviv has received a message from Washington expressing the U.S.’s preference for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip over a large-scale military operation in Gaza.
Maariv added, citing these sources: “If not unfeasible, it woudl be arduous for Netanyahu to say no to Trump.”
The sources emphasized that Israeli officials believe Netanyahu’s cabinet has wasted time and that launching a major military operation in Gaza before Trump’s Middle East trip is unlikely.
Zionist sources clarified that the Americans have sent Israel a message: “Do not surprise us before Trump’s trip to the Middle East.”
They also noted concerns in Israel that during his regional visit, Trump may pressure netanyahu into accepting an agreement on Gaza that Tel Aviv deems unfavorable.Trump is scheduled to visit the Middle East next week but has stated he does not intend to travel to the occupied territories.
