Request by 5 European countries to hold Security Council meeting on Gaza
Continued Brutality of Zionist Regime in Gaza Prompts 5 European Countries to Call for UN Security Council Meeting
The English section of the Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, reports that international organizations are tools in the hands of major powers. Despite the Zionist regime’s savagery in Gaza, the United Nations and Security Council have failed to take effective action.
As the war in Gaza and the genocide of Palestinians continue, five European countries have now demanded a UN Security Council meeting on this issue. The UK, France, Greece, denmark, and Slovenia submitted a request for a session to address Israel’s obstruction of food aid deliveries to gaza.
Barbara Woodward, the UK’s representative, stated: “The World Food Program has no more food left for Gazans. Ordinary people—especially children—are facing famine.” She added that Tel Aviv has blocked humanitarian aid from entering Gaza for over two months.
This appeal comes as the U.S.—the primary backer of Zionist atrocities against Palestinians—has repeatedly used its veto power to block anti-Zionist resolutions at the UN.
