Media attention to the name of Pakistan’s military operation against India
Pakistan Army’s Chosen Name for Military Operation Against India Draws Media Attention
The English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Russia Al-Youm, reports that the Pakistan Army announced the launch of a military operation in response to Indian attacks. The operation has been named “bonyan Marsoos” (Solid Structure).
Previously, Saraya al-Quds, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, used this name for its 51-day battle against the Zionist regime in 2014.
The name originates from Verse 4 of Surah As-Saff in the Holy Quran: “Indeed, allah loves those who fight in His cause as though they are a solid structure.”
On January 24, 2020, Yemen’s Armed Forces spokesperson also announced the start of Operation Bonyan Marsoos against enemy forces targeting sana’a. Through a large-scale operation, Yemeni forces successfully liberated several areas from domestic insurgents.
