First Phone Line Between India and Pakistan Reestablished Amid Rising Tensions; Islamabad Calls for Meeting with Indian Officials
The English section of the Webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera,reports that CNN has announced the activation of the first interaction channel between India and Pakistan following escalating tensions between the two nations.
According to the report, despite heightened hostilities between New Delhi and Islamabad, the first phone call has been established, with Islamabad requesting a meeting with Indian authorities.
In the latest updates on the India-Pakistan conflict, Pakistan’s military claimed to have destroyed an Indian S-400 air defense system stationed in Adam Pur, Punjab region. meanwhile, Pakistan’s news agency reported cyberattacks on multiple Indian websites as part of Operation “Bunyan Marsoos” (Solid Foundation).
On the other side,India’s military stated it conducted strikes against missile launch pads in Pakistan,resulting in their complete destruction. Additionally,AFP reported that Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority extended its airspace closure for another 24 hours.
Tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad intensified after last month’s attack on a group of tourists in Indian-administered Kashmir, which left 26 dead. The situation escalated further following India’s precision strikes last Wednesday on targets in Pakistani territory and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
