India and Pakistan agree to Ceasefire After Period of Conflict, Confirmed by US and Pakistani Officials
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, US President Donald Trump announced an immediate ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
Trump stated: “It is a pleasure to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to an immediate ceasefire. Following negotiations mediated by the United States, I am delighted to confirm that both nations have reached a complete ceasefire agreement.”
The US President added: “I congratulate India and Pakistan for embracing the logic of peace wiht exceptional wisdom, and I commend their commitment to this stance.”
Simultaneously, US secretary of State Marco Rubio referenced his 48-hour diplomatic efforts alongside other American officials with Indian and Pakistani counterparts, stating: “I am pleased to declare that India and Pakistan have agreed to an immediate ceasefire. The two countries will begin talks on key issues. I applaud Modi and Sharif for their political acumen in choosing the path of peace.”
Islamabad Confirms Agreement
pakistani Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar confirmed: “We have reached an agreement with India on an immediate ceasefire. Pakistan has always sought regional peace, security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.”
He emphasized: “This is not a partial deal but a complete understanding for establishing a full-scale ceasefire between both nations.”

Meanwhile, sources informed Al Jazeera that military officials from both countries held direct telephone discussions.
India: Ceasefire begins at 5 PM Local Time
India’s Foreign Ministry announced: “The ceasefire with Pakistan will take effect today at 5 PM local time.”
