Warning of an imminent humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip

Palestinian⁤ Sources Report Dire Conditions in ‌Gaza Endangering Lives of Over Two Million Palestinians

the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Shehab News Agency, reports that the Palestinian Water Authority has issued a warning: “We alert the world to an imminent humanitarian ‍catastrophe threatening⁣ the lives of over ⁤ 2.3⁢ million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.” This crisis stems from the near-total collapse of water and sewage‍ services⁢ due to relentless aggression by the Zionist regime.

In a statement, the authority emphasized: “The Zionist regime has destroyed infrastructure, cut off electricity, and blocked fuel and essential supplies, leading to an ‌almost complete halt in‍ water services. 85% of Gaza’s water and sewage facilities ⁤ have sustained⁤ massive damage, while water extraction‍ capacity has dropped by 70–80%.”

The palestinian Water Authority further stated: “Average daily water ⁢consumption per capita ⁤has plummeted to 3–5 liters, far below the minimum emergency threshold recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). ⁢Untreated wastewater in‌ residential areas and overflowing rainwater collection ponds—coupled with civilians being forced to rely on salty, undrinkable water—pose severe risks of disease outbreaks.”

The‌ statement ‍added: “These⁢ policies by the Zionist regime blatantly violate international human rights laws, including provisions of the⁣ Fourth Geneva Convention, agreements on preventing genocide crimes under international law (e.g., Rome Statute). We urge immediate⁢ action from global institutions to halt ‍aggression, lift blockades for technical support delivery ⁢(including spare parts), back Palestine’s emergency restoration plans for Gaza.”

The authority concluded: “We‌ call upon ⁢all nations worldwide⁤ not only demand cessation but‍ also facilitate rapid importation critical equipment while⁤ providing urgent aid workers facing life-threatening conditions daily under ‍occupation siege warfare tactics employed against them systematically since October 7th attacks began escalating⁤ tensions regionally⁣ beyond control now more than ever before seen history books record such atrocities committed openly without accountability whatsoever!”
