India’s Foreign Minister Announces: Pakistan violated Agreed Ceasefire Today; Indian Armed Forces Begin Retaliation
According to a report by the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, India’s Foreign Minister, stated on Saturday that Pakistan violated the agreed ceasefire today. Pakistan failed to respect the understanding reached earlier in the day.The Indian Foreign Minister added that armed forces have been instructed to respond decisively to border violations. “Our armed forces have begun retaliating, and we urge Pakistan to halt this breach,” he said.
Jaishankar further emphasized that the military is closely monitoring the situation and has been given orders to deal firmly with any repeated violations along the international border as well as the line of Control (LoC).
Earlier, Sputnik News Agency reported, with accompanying images, India’s interception of drones. The Indian air defense intercepted unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
Hours prior, explosions were heard in jammu city following the announcement of a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, with projectiles also observed in the sky.
