A Turkish Newspaper Reveals an Agreement Between the Goverment and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
According to a report by the English section of “webangah News Agency,” citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Mayadeen network, Turkey’s Independent newspaper announced that a non-public agreement has been reached between the Turkish government and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
The newspaper wrote: the agreement includes a halt to political and military clashes between the PKK organization and the Turkish government.
The report further states: According to this agreement, a joint committee will be formed to oversee the handover of weapons belonging to PKK members inside turkey.
Turkey’s Independent also added: The Turkish government has provided guarantees for ensuring security during an upcoming PKK conference.it was reported that abdullah Öcalan, leader of the PKK, met with other leaders of the organization before the conference and explained to them details of the agreement reached with Turkey’s government.
