Absurd claim by US ambassador in Tel Aviv against Iran
U.S. Ambassador to Occupied Territories Makes Baseless Claims Against Iran
According to a report by the English section of “webangah News Agency” citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Israel’s Channel 12 television reported that Mike Herzog, the U.S. ambassador to the occupied territories, blamed the Palestinian resistance group Hamas as the primary obstacle in reaching an agreement—without acknowledging America’s full support for israel’s genocide in Gaza or Netanyahu and his cabinet’s obstructionism. He claimed: “The lack of progress in negotiations stems from Hamas’ positions.”
In another absurd remark, he alleged: “Even if an agreement is reached with Tehran, Israel’s military option against Iran will remain on the table.”
The U.S. ambassador further asserted: “Hamas has no future in the Gaza Strip, and this group will not govern Gaza going forward.”
Herzog’s stance comes as Netanyahu himself is primarily responsible for the failure of prisoner exchange agreements between Hamas and the Zionist regime. Weekly protests are held against the Israeli prime minister’s approach and his obstruction of ceasefire negotiations in Gaza and prisoner swaps with resistance groups in the occupied territories.
