Statements by an Iranian source regarding the timing of Iraqchi and Trump’s trip to the region
An Iranian source addresses the timing of our foreign minister’s and the U.S. president’s visits to the region.
According to a report by the English section of “webangah News Agency“ citing Mehr news agency,an iranian source in an interview with Sputnik News agency emphasized that Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi’s trip to Saudi Arabia and Qatar is unrelated to U.S. president Donald Trump’s imminent visit to thes countries.
The source added: “The timing of Araghchi’s regional trip has no connection to Trump’s travel.This visit was conducted as part of high-level bilateral talks and information exchange regarding the latest developments in indirect Iran-U.S. negotiations.”
Araghchi arrived in Jeddah, Saudi arabia, on Saturday and later traveled to Qatar after consultations with Saudi officials to attend a session of iranian-Arab dialog talks.
