Lebanese president stance on resistance weapons
lebanese President Addresses Monopoly on Arms by the State
According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, lebanese President Michel Aoun emphasized that necessary decisions regarding the monopoly on arms in the country have been made, and implementation methods are under review.
He added: “We are engaged in consultations and do not want military conflict to occur. the government’s sovereignty extends across all of Lebanon.”
Aoun, speaking with Kuwaiti TV ahead of his visit to the country, further stated: “We have taken other reform measures, such as municipal elections and appointing the Central Bank governor.”
He noted: “The army is active in southern Lebanon, collecting weapons present in the region and destroying tunnels!”
This comes as resistance weapons have consistently targeted Zionist occupiers and so far prevented their aggression against Lebanon.
