The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the united States have been in contact and negotiations in recent days, according too a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Al Jazeera.
In a statement, Hamas confirmed these communications and announced the release of one Zionist-American prisoner. The statement read: “We have been in contact with the U.S. government over the past few days. As a gesture of goodwill during these negotiations, Aidan Alexander, a Zionist citizen holding American nationality, will be released.”
The statement further emphasized that their talks with Washington are part of broader efforts to achieve a ceasefire, reopen border crossings, and facilitate aid delivery to Palestinians in Gaza Strip. Hamas affirmed its readiness for immediate intensive negotiations toward a final agreement to end the war.
Additionally, Hamas expressed willingness to reach a comprehensive deal halting hostilities, exchanging prisoners based on mutual terms, and establishing Gaza’s governance under an self-reliant professional body.
