Aid Association Reports Dire Situation in Gaza Due to Zionist Regime’s Brutal Policies and Starvation of Residents, Especially Children
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al jazeera, the aid organization Oxfam stated that hunger in Gaza is intentional and systematic. This is the largest population in the world currently facing starvation.
The organization reported that it’s staff in gaza witnesses families suffering from hunger, with children enduring malnutrition so severe they are too weak to cry.
Oxfam emphasized that Israel’s use of aid as a weapon violates international law, turning humanitarian assistance into a tool of control that endangers civilians and exacerbates chaos and suffering in Gaza.
The organization added that silence on starvation in Gaza amounts to complicity.
Previously, the United nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned in a statement that over 2.1 million lives in the Gaza Strip are at risk due to a severe blockade ongoing for nine weeks. The UN’s food reserves in Gaza are nearly depleted as the comprehensive siege enters its third month.
The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) also noted that Israel has blocked all humanitarian, medical, and commercial aid from entering Gaza during this prolonged blockade.The longer it continues, the more irreversible damage will be inflicted on countless civilians’ lives. Thousands of trucks stand ready to deliver aid but remain barred by Israel from entering Gaza.
