US approves sale of Chinook helicopters and F-16 fighters to UAE
During Trump’s Visit to the Middle East, Including the UAE, Reports Confirm US Approval of chinook Helicopters and F-16 Fighter Jets Sale to Abu Dhabi
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Yemen’s Al-Masirah network via Mehr News agency, the U.S. department of Defense (Pentagon) announced that the State Department has approved the sale of CH-47F Chinook military helicopters to the United Arab Emirates, valued at $1.32 billion.
The Pentagon also reported that the U.S. State Department agreed to a potential sale of F-16 fighter jets to the UAE worth approximately $130 million.
This news coincides with U.S. President Donald Trump beginning his regional tour of the Middle East on Monday evening.
The American president is scheduled to visit riyadh frist, followed by trips to the UAE and Qatar during this tour.
