India denies attacking Pakistan nuclear facilities in Operation Sondoor
Indian Air Force Claims It Did Not Target pakistan’s Nuclear facilities Despite Social Media Rumors
The Indian Air force has denied claims circulating on social media that it targeted Pakistan’s nuclear facilities.
According to a report by the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and The Independent, Air Marshal Avadhesh Kumar Bharti, Director General of Air Operations for the Indian Air Force, stated that New Delhi did not target an area housing one of Pakistan’s nuclear facilities during Operation “Sindoor.”
Bharti addressed rumors on social media alleging India had attacked a site known as “Kharan Hills,” which reportedly hosts one of Pakistan’s nuclear installations. He asserted: “regardless of the nature of this facility, we did not strike Kharan Hills or anything located there.”
Reports had suggested that during India’s airstrikes on a base in “Sargodha,” linked to underground nuclear facilities at Kharan Hills, the site was also targeted.
Operation Sindoor was conducted from May 7 to 12 in response to the killing of 26 people in last month’s attack on tourists in Indian-administered Kashmir.
