According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al jazeera, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar stated in an interview with CNN that Islamabad had “no choice but to defend itself” following India’s recent attacks.
Dar emphasized that the nuclear option was never on the table. He added,”Long-term negotiations with India are not over,and we remain hopeful that logic will prevail in these talks.”
During the televised interview, Pakistan’s top diplomat clarified that Islamabad had no involvement in last April’s attack and condemned terrorism “in all its forms.”
He further warned that the ceasefire between Pakistan and India remains under threat unless a solution is reached regarding the water dispute in kashmir, stressing that failure to resolve this issue would be akin to an “act of war.”
