according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and RT, Nicolás Maduro, the President of Venezuela, condemned the leaders of France, the UK, and Germany for traveling to Ukraine to commemorate the anniversary of the Red Army’s victory over Nazi Germany in World War II. He described Kyiv as “the capital of Nazism and fascism.”
Maduro made these remarks after returning from Russia. The Venezuelan president had traveled to Moscow to attend the 80th-anniversary Victory Day parade held on May 9 and signed a strategic partnership agreement with Russian officials during his visit.
Maduro stated: ”The parade in Moscow’s Red Square and other commemorative events held great meaning because today we are witnessing the revival of Nazism and fascism.Kyiv has become the global capital of nazism and fascism—where a Nazi-supporting government rules. Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s government safeguards Nazi interests while erasing Ukrainians and former Soviet peoples from history.”
He criticized French President Emmanuel Macron, UK prime Minister Keir Starmer, and german Chancellor friedrich Merz for choosing Kyiv as their destination to mark Victory Day as “disturbing.”
Maduro added: “In its cultural decline, the West seeks to obscure this great truth—that it was the heroism of the former Soviet Red Army that defeated Nazism—through lies.”
He emphasized: “Macron, Starmer, and Merz went there ‘to celebrate war drums’ but history will defeat them.”
