Trump I imposed unprecedented sanctions on Iran
According to the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Reuters,Donald Trump, the U.S. President currently in Saudi Arabia for consultations with Riyadh officials, stated on Tuesday: “It is a great honour for me to return to this kingdom and be welcomed this way. U.S.-Saudi relations are stronger than ever today—and will remain so.”
He added: “We’ve reduced illegal border crossings into the U.S. to unprecedented lows. U.S. military recruitment levels are now at their highest in 30 years.”
Trump further claimed: “China has decided to cooperate with America on trade and other issues… We must all hope Syria’s new government succeeds in stabilizing the country….We want the Middle East defined by trade, not chaos—by technology exports, not terrorism!”
Ignoring his own management’s admission of the failure of maximum pressure against Tehran during his first term, Trump made an outlandish assertion: ”During my first presidency, I imposed unprecedented sanctions on Iran—Tehran ran out of money! Thay (the Biden administration) lifted Iran’s sanctions for nothing, and that country gained huge sums. The Biden administration gave Tehran billions to fund terrorism in the Middle East (West Asia)! They revoked sanctions against Yemen’s Houthi army—and you saw what happened.”
