CNN name change of Persian Gulf canceled
CNN reports: Trump’s plan to rename the “Persian Gulf” canceled; Iranian officials explicitly stated they would oppose such a move.
According to the English section of “webangah News Agency” citing Mehr News Agency, CNN reported that Donald Trump, the U.S. president, had planned a provocative move—contrary to all past documents and evidence—to refer to the Persian Gulf by the fabricated names “Arabian Gulf” or “Arab Gulf.”
However, an informed source familiar with negotiations (indirect talks between Tehran and Washington regarding lifting unjust sanctions) told CNN that these plans changed in subsequent days after Iranian officials explicitly stated they would oppose such an action.
