Macron Netanyahu’s actions in Gaza are shameful
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, even though France is among the key supporters of the Israeli regime in the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, Paris is attempting to maintain its image in this conflict.
Emmanuel Macron, the French President, described Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies toward Gaza as “shameful” during a televised interview with TF1 and called for increased European sanctions against the regime.
Macron emphasized: “What Netanyahu is doing is shameful.Israel’s current policy in Gaza—where 500,000 Palestinians face severe starvation—is utterly unacceptable and violates humanitarian principles.”
The Gaza Strip has been under complete siege since early March following the resumption of military operations by the Israeli regime. Thousands of aid trucks remain stranded at Egypt’s border, barred from entering due to Israel’s total blockade.
Macron’s remarks come amid growing criticism of Israel’s policies in Gaza, especially from human rights organizations and some Western governments.
“Europe must seriously consider escalating pressure on israel, including through targeted sanctions,” Macron stressed.
