Formation of new Canadian government
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Mark Carney, Canada’s new Prime Minister, announced the launch of his government, with a core team responsible for relations with the United States.
Carney was elected in April under a platform of countering threats from Donald trump, the U.S. President, in trade wars and opposing Canada’s annexation to the U.S.
After winning the election, he pledged to enact Canada’s largest economic transformation since World War II to build a stronger nation.
This comes as the world’s ninth-largest economy faces an unprecedented crisis.
The new Canadian government includes 28 ministers. While retaining some ministers engaged in negotiations with trump’s governance in recent weeks, Carney has added new figures to his cabinet.
The new prime Minister also stated that his cabinet team is persistent to deliver the change Canadians want and deserve.
He added that the new cabinet must pursue fresh ideas and attract investments to build a resilient Canadian economy capable of weathering future shocks.
