Indian Foreign Ministry opens Trump’s fist
According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and Times of India, India’s ministry of External Affairs denied claims made by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding mediation between India and pakistan, and also the use of trade threats to prevent nuclear war between the two countries.
The Indian Foreign Ministry stated in its declaration: “India has a longstanding national position that issues related to the ‘federal territory’ are addressed bilaterally between India and Pakistan.”
Additionally, Shilpak Ambule, india’s envoy to Singapore, had previously stated that “from our outlook, Kashmir is a bilateral issue, not an international one.”
the Indian Foreign Ministry further dismissed Trump’s claim that he had threatened to halt trade with India and Pakistan to persuade them into agreeing on a ceasefire.
The Times of India published a report titled “India Finally Declares Officially: Trump Was Not the Mediator in Ceasefire Between India and Pakistan,” refuting Trump’s assertions.
However, Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan’s Prime Minister, expressed gratitude for America’s role in facilitating the ceasefire on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), writing: “We appreciate America for facilitating this outcome—one we also accepted in favor of regional peace and stability.”
