Tensions between France and Algeria rise
France’s foreign Minister reports ongoing political tensions between the country and Algeria.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News agency and Al Jazeera, France’s Foreign Minister announced on Wednesday that Paris has recalled Algeria’s chargé d’affaires in response to Algiers’ unjustifiable decision to expel French diplomats.
The minister added: Paris’ reaction to this move is immediate and forceful, and it will mirror Algeria’s actions. A number of Algerian diplomats are also set to be expelled.
Last sunday, Algeria summoned France’s chargé d’affaires and demanded the expulsion of 15 staff members from the embassy.
