Main topics of discussion between foreign ministers of Turkey and Ukraine regarding ceasefire negotiations
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, an informed source at the Turkish Foreign Ministry told RIA Novosti that Hakan Fidan, turkey’s Foreign Minister, discussed preparations for Volodymyr zelenskyy‘s upcoming visit to Turkey with his Ukrainian counterpart.
The report stated that the foreign ministers of Turkey and Ukraine also discussed efforts to establish a ceasefire. The turkish Foreign Minister reiterated his country’s full support in this regard.
The consultation between the two ministers comes as representatives from Ukraine and Russia are expected to meet in Turkey in the coming days for ceasefire negotiations.
Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Kremlin, had earlier announced that Moscow is preparing for talks with Ukraine in Istanbul.
Peskov stated: Russia is making arrangements for negotiations expected to take place on Thursday.
