Kommersant newspaper Lavrov will not participate in Istanbul negotiations

According to a report by⁤ the‌ English section of webangah News Agency,citing⁤ Mehr News Agency,the Russian newspaper Kommersant stated on Wednesday that Sergei Lavrov,Russia’s foreign minister,will not participate in the Istanbul talks.

This comes amid speculation about⁣ the presence of Russian officials in the Istanbul negotiations aimed at reaching an agreement for a ceasefire in Ukraine.

Dmitry Peskov,spokesperson for the‍ Kremlin,had previously responded to ‍a ⁣journalist’s question regarding Russia’s delegation at the Istanbul meeting by saying: “I ⁣will provide updates later.”
