Trump hopes Qatar will help us resolve Iran nuclear issue

According to the​ English section of webangah news Agency,citing⁤ Mehr News Agency ‍and Al Jazeera Qatar,Donald Trump,the ‌U.S. President,‌ stated⁤ in⁣ recent remarks that his⁣ country is working toward reaching an agreement with‍ Iran but emphasized‍ that‌ the Iranian side must “take faster steps.”

He ⁢also ‍noted that Qatar could play a meaningful role⁤ in this process and said: “We hope Qatar⁤ will help us resolve‌ the⁤ situation with Iran as‍ we might potentially ⁤be able to save millions of lives—and we don’t ⁢want things to spiral out of control.”

These remarks come ⁤as ‍the U.S. Treasury Department‍ has imposed sanctions against Iran.

Meanwhile, Ismail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign​ Ministry, told Al Arabiya Al Hadath: ‍ “The recent statements by U.S. ⁤officials⁤ are full of contradictions; on one ‍hand, they speak of negotiations and agreements, yet on ‌the ⁢other hand, they continue their ⁤illegal and‌ oppressive sanctions‍ against Iran.” He added that these contradictions indicate a lack of ‌seriousness and goodwill from‍ the U.S. in the negotiation process.
