Qatar: Israel does not believe in advancing ceasefire negotiations

Qatar’s Prime Minister stated that the Zionist regime’s recent⁣ attacks on Gaza demonstrate its lack of commitment to advancing ⁤negotiations.

According to the English section of ​ webangah News Agency, citing mehr News⁤ Agency, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman⁣ Al Thani, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, criticized the Zionist regime’s recent actions in Gaza during an interview wiht CNN. ‌He asserted: “Israel’s attacks on⁣ Gaza this week⁣ indicate its unwillingness to progress ceasefire negotiations.”

He added: “The U.S. humanitarian proposal for Gaza is ⁢unnecessary.”

Bin ⁣Abdulrahman emphasized: ⁤”The United ⁢Nations must be allowed to deliver humanitarian aid ⁢directly⁤ to the people of Gaza.”

“Unfortunately, Israel responded with⁣ extensive bombing even as a negotiation delegation was being dispatched,” he continued.

The Qatari official noted: “Israel’s ⁤claims of readiness for talks without halting the war reflect ⁣its disregard for⁣ diplomatic solutions.”

“Progress in releasing Aidan Alexander, ‍an Israeli-American captive, marks⁣ a critical opening to revive negotiations,” he said.

The Qatari official stressed that the ⁢root cause of conflicts between Israel and regional nations is its occupation of Palestinian and Syrian territories.

“We conveyed our concerns to Israel and urged them to​ engage in purposeful talks,” Bin ⁢Abdulrahman stated.

“We hope for progress but⁤ are uncertain it will happen soon, given​ Israel’s⁤ conduct,” ⁢he ‍admitted.

A political solution will remain difficult unless parties commit to meaningful negotiations—even with mediators’ efforts,” he added.
